There is an estimated 1.6 million orphans in Afghanistan (UNICEF) as a direct consequence of decades of war. These victims of war remain the poorest demographic in Afghanistan's sea of poverty and many must work or beg from the age of 5 to survive, whilst they should be in education. Therefore, Afghan Charity Week, who are a collection of universities across the UK, have collaborated to raise funds for Hayaat Orphanage. The primary goal is to provide quality education to thousands of children, encompassing both boys and girls, to empower them for a brighter future. By protecting children and giving them the tools to become self-reliant, Hayaat Orphanage aims to provide hope to children in a country ravaged by war and poverty. We believe that with your help, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and contribute to their overall well being. All funds raised will go towards the costs of running an orphanage including resources, teacher's salaries, stationary etc. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant impact to the lives of these children!
